Samcam.film and 1T2K, first users of Shotover B1 in Europe
Sam Gyger (Samcam.film) y Mikko Paillot (1T2K) have been the first European companies to use the system Shotover B1.
Gyger y Paillot, with more than 30 years of experience in content production for clients such as Discovery Channel, BBC y Fox, decided to join forces again to, this time, be the first co-owners established in Europe of the first Shotover B1. Among the main features of the system, its compatibility with a wide variety of airplanes, boats and land vehicles stands out.
Sam Gyger, director of Samcam.Film, highlights the versatility and lightness of the B1 as a differential value: "We are always looking for the latest and best in aerial technology, so when we found out that Shotover had released a smaller 6-axis system, we were immediately interested. The B1 is small and light, perfect for us to push the limits in the air or on the ground."
Used with RED
The camera and lens combination that both owners plan to use consists of a RED Komodo with a goal Canon 25×250 mm. Both creators will apply this setup coming soon in aerial shots and mounted on his custom Audi E-Tron, which has been equipped with a remote arm MotoCrane.
“Although Covid-19 left many projects on hold, we are delighted to have our B1 available to offer as things begin to resume,” he comments. Gyger. “Shotover continues to innovate and push the boundaries and I'm excited that Mikko and I can now offer the B1 for shoots that may not have worked with larger systems.”
“Although the system is small, it does not sacrifice image quality and I am looking forward to showing what it can achieve for us and our customers,” he added. Mikko Paillot, responsible for 1T2K. “I made the first flight with the B1 and it was really incredible to feel the power of the system behind the joystick.”
