Version 4.0 of Newt, the compact UHD-over-IP SDI/HDMI converter from Ross Video, adds SSM, NMOS y “diagnostics” to its set of functions. Capable of connecting to Quad-SDI and HDMI 2.0 interfaces with JT-NM tested ST2110 media streams, Newt supports open standards protocols NMOS, EmBER+ y DashBoard, giving you the freedom to use it in different IP environments. Alun Fryer, Ross' director of product and solutions marketing, notes that this is a "classic" case in which Ross has taken "customer suggestions" and translated them into "feature improvements." “These improvements make it easier for Newt to adapt to a greater variety of network environments,” he emphasizes.
