Baton (Interra Systems) prepares for 8K playback with solutions from Blackmagic Design
Interra Systems has integrated DeckLink cards and Video Assist monitors and recorders from Blackmagic Design in order to enable 8K playback on your Baton Media Player (BMP).
Baton of Interra Systems is an automated AI quality assurance platform that provides comprehensive compliance checks for on-demand content delivery in linear and streaming workflows. Likewise, Baton's digital cloud supports a resizing architecture, giving users the ability to scale up the system as they need it. In addition, its high availability ensures business continuity even if some physical support fails.
Running in sync with Baton, BMP is a high-performance, feature-rich media player that allows professionals to play, monitor and verify audio-visual components from anywhere. In parallel, BMP provides the opportunity for end users to implement a hybrid quality assurance workflow.
Tarjetas DeckLink
Using the line PCIe cards capture and playback DeckLink of Blackmagic Design, Interra Systems allows its customers to control images up to 8K resolution. Capable of operating in a variety of formats, DeckLink enables BMP users to monitor macroblocks, frozen or black frames, among other drawbacks.
Interra Systems uses a wide variety of DeckLink units. Among them, we find DeckLink Studio, DeckLink SDI 4K y DeckLink 8K Pro, next to the player DeckLink Media Express. The last cards used are of the model DeckLink 8K Pro, an advanced third-generation version with eight PCI Express lanes for 8K workflows that include 12G SDI connections and support formats SD, HD, UHD, DCI 4K, 8K y DCI 8K.
Saurabh Jain, director and manager of strategic partnerships at Interra Systems, was pleased that the collaboration with Blackmagic Design “allows audiovisual companies to view and manage 4K playback in real time and also offer high-quality images.”
Video Assist
Additionally, Interra Systems uses several DeckLink 8K Pro cards and a device Blackmagic Video Assist 7” 12G HDR both in its research and development facilities and in the work dynamics of its clients. The unity signal DeckLink 8K Pro transmitted directly to monitor and recorder Blackmagic Video Assist 7” 12G HDR, which features a 2500 nits adjustable display and a high resolution of 1920 x 1200 supporting a 16:9 aspect ratio.
And May, President of Blackmagic Design, adds: "It's exciting to see Interra Systems' Baton media player building fully on the DeckLink family of products and is sure to benefit our customers as Baton supports all color spaces up to DCI 4K at 60p 12-bit RGB, providing unprecedented monitoring. The combination of Desktop Video and Video Assist 12G HDR delivers high quality control in HDR at a economical price.”
