'Bull Run', first tokenized documentary about bitcoin
Cosabona Films y The Immigrant have raised 320,000 euros tokenized on Bitcoin thanks to blockchain technology to finance the documentary Bull Run.
Bull Run is the title of the filmmaker's second feature film Ana Ramon Rubio, winner of the award for Best Documentary in it Arizona International Film Festival with his story about the ghost towns of Route 66, Almost Ghosts. On this occasion, the director delves into the world of cryptocurrencies to analyze whether they will truly be the revolution that will change the financial system forever, and she does so based on her personal experience; that of a filmmaker who gets hooked on cryptocurrency trading.
Produced by Cosabona Films y The Immigrant, this documentary integrates the blockchain into the film's financing and production process. The private investment round opened on September 20 at 7 p.m. and raised the budget necessary for its production in record time, allowing filming to begin in October 2021 and its premiere to be held in spring-summer 2022. Both production companies affirm that this milestone makes Bull Run in the first tokenized documentary about bitcoin.
The team of Bull Run It seeks, among other objectives, to show how the blockchain will allow new models of financing, production and distribution of content, being today a technology that is still in the exploration phase.
