Bambú will produce the biopic of porn actor Nacho Vidal for Starzplay

Starzplay from green light to Nacho, a XXX-L industry (working title), fiction produced by Bamboo y The clapperboard which will tell the life and work of porn actor Nacho Vidal.

Nacho, a XXX-L industry, which will be available through Starzplay for Spain and Latin America, will offer an “exploration” of the birth of the porn industry in Spain inspired by the life of Nacho Vidal. From the tragicomedy, the series will focus on showing the reality of the people behind the porn industry (which generates more than 500 million euros a year in Spain), showing "their humanity and the hilarious lives they lead." Executive produced by Teresa Fernandez-Valdes, who also serves as showrunner, and Ramon Campos, the series of eight episodes is written by Teresa Fernández-Valdés, Gema R. Neira, María José Rustarazo y Flora G. Villanueva, and directed by David Pinillos, Beatriz Sanchís y Eduardo Casanova.

Martino Rivas (The cable girls, The Boarding School) stars in the role of Nacho Vidal, while María de Nati (The good boss, Intervías) plays Sara Bernat, “the first woman who discovered that her extraordinarily pleasurable talent offered the world much more than just sex.” Andrés Velencoso (Elite, Velvet) also joins the cast as Toni Roca, the golden boy of porn until Nacho Vidal arrived.

Jeff Cooke, senior vice president of international digital network programming at Starz, states that the company is delighted “to take our audience on a wild, dramatic yet comedic journey of Nacho Vidal and the real men and women of the 90s porn industry.” Likewise, it celebrates its alliance with Bamboo, “which is known for its wonderful storytelling, reinforcing our commitment to co-producing locally made and culturally relevant content.”
