Nómada TV, the first overland travel and adventure OTT platform, is born
After the good reception that the program had on Amazon Prime Video Nomad Motorcycle of Michael Silvestre, the adventurer and author of the TVE La2 series Diary of a Nomad, has decided to create Nomad TV, the first OTT platform specialized in overland adventure travel.
The audiovisual landscape has changed radically with the new video-on-demand channels to offer the viewer the content that really interests them and at the time they want to see it. It is a segment that continues to grow with large channels offering general content but that nevertheless leave niche gaps unfilled, such as overland adventure trips by motorcycle, car, camper or bicycle.
Now, Nomad TV offers under subscription and in a unified way all its content broadcast on different television channels, as well as its new productions. In a second phase, content created by other travelers will be included to make Nómada TV the reference platform in the adventure travel sector.
The platform, which is presented with the slogan of Free documentaries for restless viewers, has at the time of its launch 200 hours of HD quality programs recorded in places as diverse as Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Alaska, Patagonia or Portugal.
There are already scheduled two new episodes every week during the next twelve months. It can be viewed on PC, tablet, smartphone and configured on smart TV. The subscription price is 2.70 euros per month or 29 euros per year and guarantees the enjoyment of content without interruptions or advertising.
Last September, Panorama Audiovisual published a report about how Miquel Solvestre has been able to revitalize with Diary of a nomad the documentary adventure genre on La 2's schedule with a format that highlights locations, history and people. A particular tour of the world full of spontaneity that dispenses with advances in terms of production to put value in the surprise that the route itself traces.
