Genelec expands its range of RAW aluminum monitors with The Ones models 8331 and 8341
The Ones models 8331 and 8341 join the range of RAW aluminum monitors from Genelec.
Originally introduced in 2020, the finish RAW is available in a selection of the most popular models from the lines of Genelec for studio, AV and Home Audio, and has been widely embraced by users around the world for its combination of sustainability with an industrial design aesthetic.
All models RAW They have the design of minimum diffraction enclosure (MDE), developed by Genelec in close collaboration with industrial designer Harri Koskinen. By eliminating the edges that generate diffraction, the MDE manages to provide a flat response, precise image and notable acoustic performance. The enclosure is molded and finished to produce a extremely rigid structure with a large internal volume, which allows the frequency response to be extended while resonances are reduced and with this, the internal amount of damping material required.
Launched in 2017, the three-way models supercompactos 8331 y 8341 They offer precisely controlled directivity in both planes, extended frequency response and fatigue-free listening. This allows professionals, as Genelec itself points out, “to work faster and make more consistent decisions” with more information when recording and mixing. As part of the familia SAM from Genelec, all models in The Ones series integrate perfectly with the software GLM, which can calibrate and control entire Genelec smart monitoring systems.
A percentage of the sale of each of these new models will be donated to the Audio Engineering Society (AES) throughout 2022. “The success of RAW will help contribute to the fantastic work that AES does for our industry,” he noted. Siamäk Naghian, director general de Genelec.
