The i24News news network begins its operations in Morocco
i24News advances its international expansion plans with the opening of two facilities in Morocco: Rabat and Casablanca.
The news network, owned by the group Altice of the businessman Patrick Drahi, will operate its studios from both locations. These facilities i24News are added to the studies located in France, United States, United Arab Emirates and her own Israel.
Frank Melloul, general director of i24News, confirms that his arrival in Morocco is largely driven by the solid viewer base which today already counts in the country: "We have been able to see that the Moroccan audience is very engaged and active on social networks. We are very happy to open branches in Morocco, which will help deepen our coverage in the country. Our offices around the world, and today those in Rabat and Casablanca, allow us to cover events from different angles and perspectives, expand and diversify our content offering and immerse ourselves in important and interesting stories."
On the other hand, Melloul considers that Morocco is a ideal operating node to continue expanding its role and influence in the region: “I believe that the launch of our offices in Morocco will contribute to promoting many of these missions and will position i24NEWS as a major player in the media and news market in the Maghreb and African countries.”
