PLG creates eSports content from its new virtual studio with Blackmagic Design solutions

Cameras Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 and ATEM Constellation 8K mixers are the axis of the workflow of the new virtual studio of P.L.G, a company specialized in video game and eSports content.

The new facilities of P.L.G, made up of UBMS, have an area of ​​10,000 square meters and include a virtual studio adaptable with various green backgrounds and settings for presenters, allowing you to quickly move from one production to another.

The live signals are then transmitted via SDI connections to different virtual environments created with Unreal Engine. Arnor Jonsson, director of products and production at PLG, considers “extremely important that virtual and live content are combined perfectly in the packages we deliver, since both brands and players expect the level of productions to be of the highest quality.”

This flexible proposal has recently materialized in a format around a fighting video game: "We recently designed a dynamic environment for a game-based competition in which players fought, and placed the announcers and the commentary table in the center of the action simultaneously. The material recorded in the studio had to be sharp, with a high level of detail to preserve the authenticity of the announcers' segments during the game."
