Mercedes chooses Blackmagic's Cinema Camera 6K Pro for its latest campaign
The advertising campaign for the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 model, a completely electric vehicle, has been shot with Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and Pocket Cinema Camera 4K cameras. Blackmagic Design.
The digital campaign was led by Alessandro Di Cristiano, while the person in charge of photography was Leonardo Cestari, who had the support of the drone pilot Simone Castagna, the cameraman Leo Papuluzzo and the editor and colorist Andrea Pescini. The filming did not skimp on resources, as it was decided to have a special DJ on the terrace of the Lumen Mountain Photography Museum, in Kronplatz (Corones Plan), it took place over three days in the Trentino-Alto Adige/South Tyrol region in Italy.
Cestari confirms that the choice of models Pocket Cinema Camera of Blackmagic was due to its “incredible versatility, especially considering the logistical challenges of the various mountain elements that form a considerable part of this shoot.” “Beyond that, I love the cinematic capabilities it offers,” he confirms. The teams responded perfectly to the different challenges posed by the shoot, including light management in mountainous terrain"The sun behind us was very strong compared to the light in the mountains, as was the light coming through the branches, causing areas of high contrast between light and dark areas. However, the latitude and wide dynamic range of the 6K sensor ensured that we could achieve a balance between these two completely different light sources with great ease, while the fifth generation colorimetry helped to harness the true essence of the colors."
