BBC IBC 2022

IBC 2022 joins the celebrations for the anniversary of the BBC, which began broadcasting in 1922, granting the British broadcaster its International Award for Excellence.

In this way, IBC seeks to recognize the “pioneering moment” which ended up unleashing the great content and technology industry that we know today. Michael Crimp, general director of IBC, takes the opportunity to extend the award to “all of us who care about creativity, technology and the business that surrounds each professional in the world of media.”

Beyond the recognition of BBC, IBC has also announced the winners of two exceptional awards for 2022. On the initiative of Sonya hit, of PlayBox Neo, and Daniella Weigner, from Cinegy, together with the consultant Phillip Covell, more than 400 companies and individuals in the broadcasting and media sector joined together through LinkedIn to provide resources, solutions and equipment to Ukrainian television channels and media outlets to ensure they could continue broadcasting amid the conflict. The group also helped refugees find positions in media outlets across Europe. His efforts have been recognized with a special award from the IBC.

On the other hand, Clinton Jones, better known to his million followers on social media as Pwnisher, is a motion graphics guru. During the confinement caused by the pandemic, he challenged 3D artists around the world to design their own scenes under the title Infinite Journeys. 2,448 artists responded, dedicating a collective more than eighteen years of work and delivering stunning, magical and visionary scenes. The jury of IBC Innovation Awards, “impressed by his effort,” has decided to award him the Judges' Prize.
