Slomo.tv launches the new Arrow-V 16-channel server ahead of IBC 2022
The new Arrow-V multi-channel recording and playback server, with 14 channels in replay mode and 16 channels for NLE, is the great bet of Slomo.tv to IBC 2022.
The new Arrow-V doubles the number of recording channels compared to other servers in the range Arrow. The server is equipped with 16 E/S SDI bidirectional and provides 14 channels of 3G/HD-SDI recording in playback mode, although recording mode for NLE supports up to 16 channels.
Its disk subsystem based on SSD provides a high performance and resistance to mechanical impacts (shocks and strong vibrations), which makes it valid for complex environments such as mobile units. The Arrow-V is available with different disk subsystem capabilities: 66 / 133 / 266 / 530 hours of 100 Mbps HD video.
Despite its compact size, the Arrow-V server, present at IBC 2022, supports up to two independent workstations with all functions. For playback configurations with one job, the server provides 14 recording channels, 14 search channels and 2 playback channels with transition effects (FX). In a repeat configuration with two jobs, each operator works with up to 7 recording channels, 7 search channels, 2 playback channels and FX with SDI output for PGM and PVW output on the Multiviewer screen.
Arrow-V Recording Options
Using technology DMR Exclusive to slomo.tv, the server can record up to 16 video channels with ProRes codec 442 in native NLE files on removable disks. For recording 5 to 6 channels with Avid DNxHD/ProRes 422 codecs, slomo.tv recommends the use of SSD disks, which can be installed in 3 built-in trayless/toolless racks located on the front panel (caddies/adapters for 2.5 to 3.5 inch hard drives required). The codecs available for this system are I-Frame basado en DCT, ProRes 422, DNxHD, DVCPro HD, XDCAM422 50Mbit, XDCAM 35, AVC-Intra 100/50 y XAVC.
Another highlight of Slomo.tv's Arrow-V, which can be seen at IBC 2022, is its specialized remote playback panel Control-ZR, equipped with 51 illuminated RGB buttons, Jog/Shuttle and T-Bar to control the playback speed. The controller can be connected via Ethernet, USB, RS-232 or RS-422.
