The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 cameras and the ATEM Mini Pro mixer from Blackmagic allow Song Suffragettes broadcast your show via streaming.
Todd Cassetty, a record industry executive in Nashville, founded Song Suffragettes in 2014, a group whose objective is fight gender inequality in this industry, increasing the possibilities and radio coverage for country music singers. with a group rotation of artists, each live webcast show features five female singer-songwriters and a cover of a song performed by all of them. In its ninth year, Song Suffragettes has had more than 350 women on his stage, of which almost 60 reached agreements with publishers y 26 got record contracts. These include names like Kelsea Ballerini, GAYLE, Carly Pearce, Lainey Wilson and Tenille Arts.
With the aim of transmitting Internet his weekly concerts from his channel YouTube, which has 4.7 million views, Cassetty decided to launch into a workflow focused on solutions Blackmagic. Specifically, Song Suffragettes uses a unit Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 and three Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, whose signals are sent to a mixer ATEM Mini Pro connected to a device Blackmagic Video Assist 7” 3G. The transmitted material is recorded directly from the mixer on an external SSD drive, as well as individual camera signals. After each weekly broadcast, the full program is published on the YouTube channel by Song Suffragettes. Additionally, at the end of each show, the team selects three or four specific songs to share them on YouTube based on the signals recorded from each camera.
Cassetty opted for the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K since the solution allows, among other advantages, to record directly from the camera on an SSD drive, en tiempo real.
