5600°K Productions has trusted ACT y AC&NC for the design and execution of a fiber-based storage solution.

The production company's new system, which has Fiber Channel host bus adapters ATTO Celerity of 16 Gb/s and one JetStor 816FX Fiber Channel Storage Area Network Platform con 16 x 12TB SAS drives, adapts to the needs of those studies that address challenges such as high workloads or the increase in image resolutions. Concretamente, 5600 °K precisaba de una amplia velocidad y fidelidad para abordar cada uno de sus proyectos, un reto que ha sido abordado con este sistema capaz de almacenar hasta cinco terabytes de material multicámara cada día.

Lo hace apoyándose en un sistema de almacenamiento SAN FC de 16 bahías JetStor 816FX de alto rendimiento, que cuenta con el último procesador de doble núcleo D1500 de Intel, la tecnología SAS 3.0 de 12Gb y el último SANOS 4.0 (SAN Storage Management Operating System v4.0) de QSAN. El sistema también cuenta con los HBAs ATTO Celerity FC, que ofrecen un rendimiento de hasta 3200 MB/s por puerto en modo full-duplex.
