The TV Academy confirms its new board of directors, again led by María Casado
The new board of directors of the Television Academy, chaired by journalist María Casado, took office in a first meeting held at the institution's headquarters.
The team that begins its journey at the head of the Academy of Television and Audiovisual Sciences and Arts is made up of well-known professionals from all areas of the audiovisual sector: Paco Moreno (Canarian Television), Beatriz Maesso (Commercial TV), Pepe Quilez (Henneo Group), River Pigeon (RTVE), Jota Abril (Telemadrid), Carmen Amores (Castilla-La Mancha Middle), José María Irisarri (Onza), Macarena Rey (Shine Iberia), Jesus Lozano (Antena 3 TV), Sandra Blow (Antena 3 TV), Tomas Molina (TV3), Marta Fernandez (Harper Collins), Joseba Fiestras (FesTVal), María José Peláez (Stop TV Stories), Victor Garcia (Unicorn Content), Pilar Socorro (RTVE), Carlos García-Hirschfeld (La Nuez Productions), Joana Carrion (All The Kids), Street Trash (RTVE), Geraldine Gonard (Conecta Fiction), Yusan Acha (Fourteen Communication), María José Rodríguez (Prime Video), Miguel Toral (The World), Carme Basté (Ramón Llul University) and Valentin Carrera (Secretary of State Communication).
Among the first agreements adopted by the Board of Directors is the call for the Extraordinary General Assembly of partners for the next January 17 where the new team will present to the academics its work program and its objectives for the next four years at the head of the Institution.
Married, in his first statements as president of the TV Academy, has highlighted that "an exciting stage begins with a team of great professionals full of initiatives and eager to work for the Television Academy. With all the learning acquired during these last years, I feel enormously grateful to this group of colleagues who have joined this team that aims to address the future challenges that the Television Academy has ahead. We now begin to work for a larger and more representative Institution of Spanish audiovisual. An Academy with which all professionals can identify. of the sector.”
Maria Casado was proclaimed president of the Television Academy at the beginning of December after Mayte Pascual, aspiring to lead the institution, decided withdraw your candidacy due to the “accumulation of irregularities observed in the electoral process and for which we have not obtained any receptivity and satisfaction.”
