Film Academy: new stage with the renewal of half of its board of directors
Voting has been completed to elect the new board of directors of the Film Academy and the members of the specialty commissions, who will begin a four-year term of office.
Each of the fifteen specialties that make up the Academy has chosen the most voted for his job as a representative on the board of directors, as well as those who will constitute the specialty commission. They thus renew the half of the components of the institution's management, made up of two members from each of the specialties, a president and two vice presidents.
The Specialty Commissions are formed by the members of the Board Directive of each specialty and two members with the most votes in these elections, as well as the other two members elected in the previous call. The appointments are pending acceptance by each of the selected members. The mandate of the members of the Board of Directors is four years, half being renewed every two.
Academics have been able to exercise their vote in person, by mail and online. The first have appeared at the Madrid headquarters, which hosted the General Assembly, which was broadcast via zoom in Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga and Seville. These have been the profiles chosen by the academics:
