Don Felipe and Doña Letizia received in audience the Board of Directors of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain, headed by its president Enrique González Macho, who presented the Kings with a special Goya.

He has also indicated that, despite the “adverse circumstances led by the clearly excessive 21% VAT”, 2014 will end as the best year for Spanish cinema in recent decades. "We know and appreciate the love they have for cinema in general and for Spanish cinema in particular. The cinematographic economy is very damaged, but the talent of our creators remains intact, and more powerful every day. We are sure that they will accompany us in the future as they have done so far, coming to see our films, which is the greatest satisfaction that a creator can have," he stated.

During the audience, the president of the Academy gave the kings a special Goya, the second that this institution has given to the Royal Family since in November 2009, the then president of the Academy, Álex de la Iglesia, gave a special Goya to Don Juan Carlos, who in 1987 already received the number zero of the award.

The president of the Academy was accompanied by the second vice president Judith Colell; the general director of the Academy, Porfirio Enríquez; and by the members of the Board of Directors Pedro Eugenio Delgado, member of Animation; Emilio Martínez-Lázaro and Patricia Ferreira, Directors; Yousaf Bokhari and Sol Carnicero, members of Production Management; Tatiana Hernández and Yvonne Blake, members of Costume Design; Manuel Velasco, member of Photography; Juan Luis Iborra, member of Guión; Fernando Chinarro, Interpretation member; Antonio Gómez Paniz za, member of Makeup and Hairdressing; Guillermo S. Maldonado, member of Montaje; Juan Carlos Cuello and Zacarías M. de la Riva, members of Music; Ana Amigo, member of Producers; and David Rodríguez Montero and Ricardo Steinberg, members of Sound.
