The Board of Directors of the TV Academy entrusts Sara Pulido with the general direction

The journalist Sara Pulido García, current Director of Communication of the Academy of Television and Audiovisual Sciences and Arts, has assumed the general management by unanimous decision of the Board of Directors led by María Casado.

This appointment occurs in recognition of his work, dedication and knowledge of a constantly growing, increasingly representative and diverse institution, to which he has been linked for the last 18 years. Among his responsibilities will be the operational management of the organization, the direction of institutional communication, the planning of events and conferences, the promotion of strategic alliances with operators and institutions in the audiovisual sector and the execution of the decisions and agreements adopted by the organization's board of directors.

Graduated in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, she has worked with the various teams that have been in charge of the Institution. Previously, he worked as a journalist in radio, written press and television in different media. He specialized in Institutional Communication in the press department of the Congress of Deputies. In 2007 he arrived at the Television Academy as head of the presidential cabinet, a year later he assumed the direction of Communication of the Institution. For a decade he directed and edited the specialized television magazine AcademiaTV. He has been responsible for communication in the presidential debates organized by the Television Academy in 2008, 2011, 2015, 2016 and 2019. In the latter, he was also part of the Executive Steering Committee.

The ninth and current Board of Directors, chaired by María Casado, is made up of multidisciplinary professionals from the sector such as Francisco Moreno, Beatriz Maesso Pepe Quílez, Paloma del Río, Jota Abril, Carmen Amores, José María Irisarri, Macarena Rey, Jesús Lozano, Sandra Golpe, Tomás Molina, Marta Fernández, Joseba Fiestras, María José Peláez, Víctor García Martín, Pilar Socorro, Carlos García-Hirschfeld, Joana Carrión, Tacho de la Calle, Géraldine Gonard, Yusan Acha, María José Rodríguez, Miguel Toral, Carme Basté and Valentín Carrera.
