The new board of directors of the EBU has been elected
The Board will continue to be headed by Jean-Paul Philippot, RTBF (Belgium), and Claudio Cappon, RAI, (Italy)
The General Assembly of the European Broadcasting Union (UER) has elected the nine members of the Executive Board who will have a two-year term starting January 1, 2013.
The vote took place on the second and final day of the Winter Assembly, which was attended by more than 150 senior executives from public broadcasters from 40 countries.
The General Assembly is the highest decision-making body within the EBU and meets twice a year.
The Board will continue to be headed by Jean-Paul Philippot, RTBF (Belgium), and Claudio Cappon, RAI, (Italy), who were re-elected at the summer General Assembly in Strasbourg to the positions of President and Vice-President, respectively, for 2013-2014.
