IABM appoints a new Board of Directors
The composition of the new Board of Directors reflects the international composition of its members, joining executives from ARRI, Avid, EVS, Grass Valley, Multicast, Nevion, Ooyala, Pebble Beach, Sony and Vitec.
IABM, the international association that brings together manufacturers in the broadcast industry with more than 550 members around the world, has just named a new Board of Directors.
The Board will hold office during the next two years and plays a central role in all the association's activities: setting the overall strategy, establishing, reviewing and changing, as necessary, the association's policies, which are then implemented by the IABM team. It also exercises global financial control.
The composition of the new Board of Directors reflects the international composition its members: Jörg Pohlman (ARRI), Anne-Louise Buick (Avid); Nicolas Bourdon (EVS), Tim Shoulders (Grass Valley), David Phillips (Multicast Consultancy), Geir Bryn-Jensen (Nevion), Bea Alonso (They spread it), Alison Pavitt (Pebble Beach), Peter Sykes (Sony) y Juergen Sommer (Vitec).
The newly elected members join the five permanent members (elected by the outgoing board for continuity), who are: Andreas Hilmer (Theirs), president; James Gilbert (Pixel Power), immediate past president; Nicki FisherClear-Com), Glodina Connan-Lostanlen (Imagine Communications) y Anna Lockwood (Telstra).
In addition, the presidents of the Regional Member Councils of APAC, EMEA and in the Americas, Dennis Breckenridge of Elevate Broadcast, Ole Clausen of Danmon Group and Paul Stechly of Applied Electronics respectively, also have reserved seats on the Board. Vice Chairman Graham Pitman, IABM CEO Peter White and Chief Financial Officer Lucinda Meek complete the line-up.
