Radio Island 92 completes its transition to digital with several AEQ consoles

The Caribbean station Island 92 has integrated the Forum IP Split and Capitol IP consoles AEQ in their local studios as part of their evolution to digital technology.

Island 92 is a radio station located in Saint Martin in the Caribbean that belongs to the Caribbean Broadcasting Network and is mainly focused on the streaming music and entertainment programs. The company's technical management has decided to update all its equipment to digital environment, establishing two consoles from the Spanish manufacturer as the axes of the system AEQ: the Forum IP Split, intended for study on-air, and one Capitol IP for your production studio. The system is complemented by the multi-conference system Systel IP and the interface Netbox 32 AD MX for simultaneous transmission.

The Forum IP Split the AEQ is a mixing console specially designed for emissions control on-air. It incorporates all the basic features needed in these types of environments: automatic cut-off of monitors, cough cut-off, faderstart, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications, intercommunication, etc. With modular design y reduced size fits perfectly different scenarios: self-control, control-locutory, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations, integration in large installations...

On the other hand, the Capitol IP of AEQ is an 8 fixed configuration digital audio mixing console canales. The implementation of IP connectivity is based on a single module with 16 input and 16 output channels, incorporated into its “core”. Another highlight of Capitol is its extensive input range: 4 mic/line, 12 analog, 4 digital stereo AES/EBU (AES3), 2 digital stereo USB, 2 optional telephone lines, and optional digital multichannel audio links; 16 AoIP channels over two Ethernet connectors or 64 MADI channels via fiber optic input.
