EITB joins the solidarity and audiovisual project Erronka Munduan
Filmmakers from different countries participate in Erronka Munduan, a solidarity challenge promoted by the Kino Kursaal Association which is added now EITB and that aims to give visibility to films about human rights.
Through its EITB Nahieran platform, EITB joins the Erronka Munduan movement for human rights promoted by the Kursaal Kino Association, which aims to contribute to achieving greater dissemination and raising awareness among the population of the important social challenges that our society as a whole faces.
Thus, on the EITB portal you can view more than thirty films with human rights themes selected by those responsible for the initiative. These are titles like Invisibles, Korapiloak askatu, Climatic disorder, The color of black, State of liberty, Alone in her world, Pico de Plata or Grito, to name just a few of them.
The director-producer Alfredo Izquierdo, directed by Erronka Munduan (Challenge for the World), invites filmmakers from around the world to participate in this movement, reminding them that they have great power to influence society, and therefore a great responsibility. “Today the world of communication is audiovisual and we filmmakers have in our hands the means, the capacity and the creativity to change the world by creating impactful audiovisuals that help wake up society about the values of human rights,” he emphasizes.
The objective of the Erronka Munduan contest is to mobilize the creative effort of filmmakers so that it is disseminated as widely as possible and to make the population reflect on the challenges that this world has. In this sense, the Kursaal Kino Association (A2K), as producer of the contest, promotes agreements with media and audiovisual groups, such as EITB, to reach the largest possible population.
In the 2022 edition, 143 films from different countries such as Spain, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Sweden, Italy, France, Turkey, the United States and Slovenia have participated.
