Radio Taiwan International renews its studios with AEQ digital consoles
Forum Split and Capitol consoles AEQ are the axis of the recent technological renewal of Radio Taiwan International, a station that opens new facilities.
Radio Taiwan International (RTI), government radio station that broadcasts in 14 different languages for the whole world via satellite and online, decided to undertake in 2022 the migration of several studios of its radio to new ones facilities. The transition was accompanied by new digital consoles: specifically, the main studios began to adopt the Forum Split of AEQ, while the secondary cabins opted for Capitol from the Spanish manufacturer.
The Forum IP Split the AEQ It is a mixing console designed for the control of on-air emissions. It incorporates all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic monitor cut-off, cough cut-off, faderstart, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications and intercommunication. With a Modular design and small size, adapts perfectly to different scenarios, such as self-control, studio control, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations or integration in large installations. The version Forum IP Split It comes with the FR CORE modular engine in 3 rack units, although it can be composed of up to 6 quad fader modules and a control and monitoring unit.
On the other hand, the AEQ Capitol IP is a ultra-compact console 8-channel fixed configuration digital audio mixing system. At Capitol IP, the implementation of the IP connectivity is based on a single module with 16 input and 16 output channels, incorporated into its “core”. One of the main qualities of Capitol IP is the wide input capacity available: 4 mic/line, 12 analog, 4 digital stereo AES/EBU (AES3), 2 digital stereo USB, 2 optional telephone lines, and optional digital multichannel audio links; 16 AoIP channels over two Ethernet connectors or 64 MADI channels via fiber optic input.
The entire project has been coordinated by AEQ's commercial manager for Asia, Antonio Pérez, in collaboration with the technical services of AEQ's local partner in the country. ADE-Corporation and engineering and operations staff RTI.
