Rohde & Schwarz retransmitirá un canal vía 5G broadcast en NAB 2023

A continuous broadcast channel based on 5G broadcast technology and important new features in its entire range of products are the two big bets of Rohde & Schwarz facing NAB 2023 (Las Vegas, April 15-19).

Una de las apuestas más llamativas de Rohde & Schwarz de cara a NAB 2023, which has already been put into operation in contexts such as the Mobile World Congress, is the live broadcast of a television channel Gallium y StreamMaster through 5G Broadcast. With this initiative, the company aims to show how video can be transmitted to mobile devices without consuming mobile bandwidth. The channel will be broadcast using the latest version of the transmitter TLU9 y R&S BSCC2.0. Along with these teams will be the THU9evo, a solution whose software-defined architecture allows you to add rich services, which now include ATSC 3.0 as well as 5G Broadcast.

On the other hand, the company will show “important progress” focused on the storage, monitoring and delivery of content across its entire range of products: it can be seen for the first time at NAB R&S SpycerNode2, a radical restructuring of the popular storage device that now offers media caching and more power; he R&S Clipster 6 Mark 2, which sees its speed increased by 100%, and R&S Venice, the ingest-to-broadcast content store that now has features such as simplifying the ingestion of threatened VT libraries.
