Mundotoro TV - Bullring Platform - Presentation

The Círculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid has hosted the presentation of Mundotoro TV, a streaming platform that seeks to “take the alternative of bullfighting broadcasts”, thus taking over from, among other agents, the ill-fated Toros channel of Movistar Plus+.

The platform, born with the “responsibility of serving as a link between the party and the fans”, will operate under the model of monthly subscription at a price of €14.99 per month, a cost well above average. Accessible through a mobile app y web browser, the platform is also born integrated into Samsung, LG, tvOS (apple TV), Amazon Fire, Chromecast and Roku. The willingness to reach agreements with all TV operators that want to distribute the service has also been announced, confirming advanced conversations with Vodafone, Orange y TIVIFY, as well as with different agents from Portugal, France, Mexico and the United States.

Alipio Pérez-Tabernero, head of programming, has detailed that beyond the most common OTT capabilities in these services, Mundotoro TV will have a canal lineal for a “greater” ease of access to the entire universe of bullfighting fans." The chain's commitment is to offer more than 100 races per year without skimping on production resources. In fact, Victor Santamaria, responsible for production, has detailed that the broadcasts will incorporate drones, film cameras and greater attention to sound.

The start of emissions will be next April 9, deadline after a period of testing emissions that is already underway.
