Riedel launches replay system at NAB 2023: RiMotion R84

The launch in NAB 2023 of RiMotion R84, the new replay server Riedel, exemplifies the company's push into the world of video production solutions.

Riedel travels to NAB 2023 not only with its HD and UHD intercom and routing solutions, for which the company is widely known, but with a decided bet for continuing to strengthen its division dedicated to the video universe. For this, Riedel has the experience of the recently acquired Simplylive and his Simplylive Production Suite, composed of its Venue Gateways, Web Multiviewers, ReCapture y RiMotion.

It is precisely this last family of products that has been expanded with the launch of the RiMotion R84, the first RiMotion variant to offer UHD resolutions y soporte HDR 10 bits. The solution, which takes its first steps in NAB 2023, combines slow motion capabilities, including Super Slow Motion (SSM) support, with an innovative, easy-to-use interface. In addition to those previously available RiMotion R6, R8 y R12, offering six to 12 HD channels, the new RiMotion R84 features up to four UHD channels and up to eight HD HDR channels, and comes in a compact 2 RU chassis with five 2TB SSD RAID storage units. With the ability to network multiple systems and add secondary operators and RC-10 remote control units, the RiMotion R84 has been designed to fit productions of all sizes.

Venue Gateway Advanced

The second big launch that Riedel is presenting in NAB 2023 is the new Venue Gateway Advanced. With eight-channel bi-directional encoding/decoding capabilities, this low-latency multi-channel, multi-format contribution device bridges broadcast production infrastructures and remote venues. Beyond including all the functions of the standard version, such as an integrated multiviewer, it incorporates two connectors Ethernet RJ45 of additional 10 Gbps for higher backbone bandwidths, up to 100 hours of SSD RAID storage, and two redundant power supplies in a compact 2 RU chassis.

In parallel, Riedel has taken advantage of the NAB 2023 celebration to present some of its most successful success stories to society, including the presence of its IP solutions at the events of eSports de Quince Imaging, or the integration of the intercom system and an ST 2110 audio monitoring solution in the state-of-the-art Gillette Stadium de Massachusetts.
