Matrox Video - Luma

The new series of graphics cards Matrox Video Luma, which integrates the Intel Arc GPU and is aimed at high-reliability applications, is now available.

The family Luma consists of three single-slot cards: the Front A310, a low-profile fanless card; the Front A310F, a low-profile card with a fan, and the luma A380, a full size card with fan. Matrox Video has developed the Luma range to meet the significant demand in the market for conventional graphics to control multiple displays, with a balance between size, reliability and performance for different applications.

At Luma A310 It is billed as the “only modern fanless low-profile card.” Fanless design offers quiet operation and eliminate a point of failure (the fan), which increases reliability and extends the life of the card. On the other hand, the Front A310F, single-slot, low-profile, targets applications that require a extra performance to handle video and 3D rendering. Another application is the retail sector, where multi-monitor graphics are used, such as digital signage and digital menus. Finally, the Luma A380The full-size, single-slot Luma offers even more performance and more GDDR6 (6GB vs. 4GB) than other Luma models. For example, these cards can feed medium to large size video display walls that display multiple video sources.

The three LUMA cards have four outputs and can control four 5K60 monitors. (All three can also drive up to 8 5K60 or 5K/120 monitors, but are limited to two outputs.) They support all the latest graphics features such as DirectX 12 Ultimate, OpenGL 4.6, Vulkan 1.3 and OpenCL 3.0, as well as Intel's oneAPI for computing tasks and the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO toolkit for AI development. The cards also feature class-leading codec engines that can encode and decode H.264, H.265, VP9 and AV1. The cards also include Matrox PowerDesk desktop management software to configure and manage multi-display setups.

Daniel Collin, senior product manager at Matrox Video, welcomes the launch of Luma: "The market has always looked to Matrox for highly reliable and stable multi-head graphics cards with a long life cycle. With the LUMA family, we are pleased to continue meeting these requirements in critical environments. In fact, the alignment with Intel has resulted in a palette of additional features that expand the value we can uniquely bring to our customers as their future needs develop."
