DAZN joins the FAST world with the launch of two channels
The launch of DAZN Combat and DAZN Women's Football ratify the sports platform's commitment to FAST channels, a growing business model in the streaming industry.
Por otro lado, DAZN Women’s Football will offer open access (in those territories for which it owns the rights) competitions such as the UEFA Women's Champions League (UWCL), Finetwork Liga F, reports and summaries of the best moments. The channel will also broadcast documentaries, such as Same, a six-part documentary series that will bring viewers face to face with some of the biggest stars in women's soccer like never before or The match that changed football, a film about the historic UWCL Clásico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF in front of a packed Camp Nou in March 2022. The channel's first live match will be the second leg of the UWCL semi-final, on April 27, between Chelsea FC Women and FC Barcelona. Both channels were preceded by the channel Rise, DAZN's first foray into FAST territory that continues its broadcasts in Germany and Austria.
LG will offer the channels worldwide “not including DAZN's core territories.” They will be available on LG Channels in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, the Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Finland), the Netherlands, France and Australia. Samsung TV Plus will also distribute women's soccer channel DAZN in Australia and New Zealand, where the channel launched on April 26. VIDAA will broadcast both channels in Australia, Brazil and Mexico. After launch, other partners will be added to increase reach in more territories.
Veronica Diquattro, CEO Global Markets DAZN, believes that these new FAST channels “underscore our commitment to delivering frictionless, anytime, anywhere sports entertainment to passionate fans.”
