Agustín Limón

Agustín Limón, Sales Manager, Networked Video Americas, Audinate, analyzes in this video interview at NAB 2023 the news from the Australian brand regarding its popular Dante protocol in audio and video environments.

On this occasion, Audinate has highlighted Dante Connect which integrates a set of software applications that facilitate cloud-based broadcast production, combining ease of use and tight Dante audio synchronization with centralized production tools that run in the cloud.

Dante Connect is a solution that allows production teams to implement Dante connectivity in virtual machines that run on AWS. It allows up to 256 audio channels to be captured in remote locations and then mixed, processed and delivered anywhere in the world. With this solution, broadcasters and production companies will be able to reduce costs and integration complexity.

Other advantages of Dante Connect is the possibility of extending Dante Connect through various infrastructures and regions, and the possibility of executing a remote monitoring via a webRTC connection.

During NAB 2023 we also learned that its solution Dante AV over IP has achieved the status of Technology Partner of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and has completed the Dante Connect Foundational Technical Review (FTR) to accelerate commitment to AWS.

Audinate and NAB 2023

Dante ecosystem grows in AV environments

The list of equipment manufacturers that have acquired Dante AV licenses has been expanded at NAB 2023 with AJA y Marshall Electronics, thus joining the half a thousand manufacturers as Aver, Aver, Avonic, Bolin, Bzb Gear, Chingan Technology, cyrake, lumens, minrraly, patton, ptz optics, proavit, soundhouse, televic, telelycam, tenveo, valuehd, yamaha o Yuan. In total throughout the Dante ecosystem we can already find today more than 3,500 products. On the other hand, the number of certified users in its implementation and use now amounts to 50,000, having more than one million Dante devices.

Dante AV is a family of hardware and software solutions which allows manufacturers and end users to add network video to the Dante platform. Ensures interoperability between manufacturers while maintaining discovery, configuration and control on a single platform for all audio and video devices. The family includes Dante AV Ultra, a hardware-based solution that offers 4K60 video encoding and decoding for high-quality, lossless video, and Dante AV-H, an integrated software solution that OEMs can add to their H.264/H.265 cameras, encoders and decoders with Ethernet, turning them into Dante AV endpoints. Dante AV solutions are compatible with the thousands of Dante-enabled products available today.

Dante Domain Manager

Audinate is already offering the market a new API with the Dante Domain Manager version 1.5. This API enables service providers, integrators, software developers, and OEMs to incorporate Dante control and monitoring into management applications, control hardware, automation scripts, helpdesk solutions, and software-based source mixing, to name just a few.

The new API is built using the popular query language GraphQL for rapid development with common tools like Postman, Apollo Studio o Altair.
