Audinate brings audio virtualization to broadcast arenas with Dante Virtual Soundcard Pro
Aimed at high-performance audio applications that require flexibility, the new Dante Virtual Soundcard Pro (DVS Pro) from Audinate comes to the market to combine the advantages of traditional hardware with the benefits of software solutions.
Based on the platform Dante, Dante Virtual Soundcard Pro was created to train environmental professionals broadcast, live sound, studio recording and commercial AV applications to address the “more complex audio challenges". It does this by transforming any PC o Mac in a Dante enabled device, eliminating the need for additional hardware and enabling processes such as live multitrack recording; the multimedia playback; systems conferences; capture of conferences, o collaborative production.
All, without giving up a wide capacity of channels to higher sample rates (up to 128x128 channels at 96 kHz), connectivity of up to 64 streams or the possibility of installation in virtual machines. Additionally, DVS Pro will offer users compatibility with clock leader y unicast clocking; flexible licensing options, and cross-platform support for both Mac and Windows.
Will Waters, product manager at Audinate, values this solution that is integrated into the Dante platform and can improve its control through systems such as Dante Domain Manager o Dante Director: "As the audio industry shifts toward software-based networking solutions, Dante Virtual Soundcard Pro leads the way in offering affordable, scalable, high-fidelity connectivity. (…) DVS Pro gives audio professionals the flexibility they need to seamlessly bridge traditional hardware and evolving software workflows, all within the familiar Dante environment they trust."
