TVU offers 25-hour uninterrupted coverage from remote mountain areas
The organization of 2023 World Mountain and Trail Running Championships, held in Innsbruck-Stubai (Austria), relied on broadcast solutions from TVU Networks to carry out coverage of more than five days that had its climax in an uninterrupted broadcast lasting 25 hours.
TVU Networks joined forces with the organization of the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships to bring this mountain and trail competition to different audiences on television, web and mobile platforms for five days. The challenge not only stems from the complexity of carrying out long-term coverage, with a peak moment of 25 hours of uninterrupted broadcast, but also the difficulty involved in maintaining constant real-time coverage from mountain routes, something that according to TVU itself is usually difficult "due to connectivity problems."
TVU Networks facilitated the live production of the Championship with an extensive setup that included 10 backpacks TV One, 24 applications TVU Anywhere for mobile phones and remote production system TVU RPS (Remote Production System). This dynamic set of IP and cloud solutions streamlined the broadcast process, responding to the diverse needs of such a large-scale event, as reflected in the vision of Benedikt Happe, producer and event director: "TVU has played a key role in the success of our first live broadcast of this year's world championship. Regardless of the various terrains from which the competition was broadcast live, be it flats, hills or mountains, TVU teams provided a reliable, high-quality broadcast. This allowed for a seamless remote viewing experience that truly brought our viewers closer to the action."
"We were impressed by the technical expertise and exceptional support that TVU Networks provided us. They went beyond offering a collection of products and services; their extensive set of tools was seamlessly integrated into all stages of our media production, ensuring seamless workflows throughout our live broadcast," concludes the own Acids, highlighting not only technology, but also the talent and availability of the TVU team.
