Goya winner Clara Roquet joins the team of creators at The Mediapro Studio

The Mediapro Studio continues to add creative talent to its ranks with the signing of director and screenwriter Clara Roquet, Goya for Best New Director in 2022 for the feature film 'Libertad'.

Clara Roquet joins the team of creators of The Mediapro Studio, which already includes other names of national and international prestige such as Ran Tellem, Daniel Burman, Diego San José, Carmen Ortíz, Iván Escobar, Marc Cistaré, Manuel Huerga, Ernesto Daranas, Marc Vigil, Fernando González Molina, Berto Romero and Andreu Buenafuente, among others.

La propia Roquet ha afirmado sentirse “muy ilusionada” por “este nuevo paso en mi carrera”. Para la cineasta, “el Studio es una plataforma perfecta para tener la oportunidad y los recursos de crear historias ambiciosas, siempre desde una perspectiva social y artesanal que apelen a un público no solo local sino también internacional”, siempre sin perder “la libertad creativa que me han dado a la hora de afrontar este salto en mi carrera”.

It will not be Roquet's first contact with The Mediapro Studio, since in 2023 she served as director, together with Andreu Buenafuente, of the second edition of The Mediapro Studio Labs, laboratorio de ideas nacido para descubrir nuevo talento audiovisual.
