Christie - Apollo - Audio projection

The projectors of Christie and the Christie Vive Audio sound system allow guests of the new complex Apollo China (Vilnius Outlet, Lithuania) experience “powerful cinematic experiences” on each of its six screens.

Apollo China, which is committed to taking care of the visitor's experience with three seat selections, recliners, food delivery and self-service store, has opted for the Christie laser technology, in the form of projectors CP4425-RGB and five units Real Laser CP2415. For him immersive audio, BMK, integrator of this project, installed Christie Vive Audio (with LA4, LA3i Main Screen Channels, LA3Si and LS5S Surround, S218LP subwoofers in each screen), all powered by amplifiers DSP Powersoft Quattrocanali y Duochannel 4804.

Gintautas Rimeikis, systems architect, BMK, explains the reasons that led him to opt for Christie solutions: "We chose Christie solutions and services because of our long history of collaboration and excellent integration of technological innovation into practice. Attendees were delighted and impressed by the excellent image and sound quality. They mentioned that there is a very notable difference between this and other cinemas, and agreed that this is truly a new generation cinema."

Christie - Apollo - Audio projectionEspecially noteworthy has been the complex's commitment to immersive audioAs Rimeikis specifies: "The LA4 and LA3i impress the customer with their physical size and their ability to fill rooms with sound. The projectors met and exceeded our expectations. Their power output is calculated so that they function perfectly throughout their useful life without losing the desired and required brightness. This reduces the cost of maintenance and prolongs the longevity of the projectors."

The cinema opened on September 28, and the public came en masse to visit “the most modern theater in Lithuania”, with capacity for about 800 spectators. The project has taken about two years to complete, from the architect's initial plans to the inauguration, but Chris Connett, senior director of business development in EMEA at Christie, welcomes the project's success: "Apollo and BMK have put all their efforts into guaranteeing customers an amazing experience, which shines everywhere, from the lobby to the seats, including the cinema equipment, which offers spectacular projections to thrill audiences. We are delighted that our audiovisual technologies will play their part."
