These are the objects that 'Informe Semanal' (RTVE) has introduced in its Caja de las Letras del Instituto Cervantes

The Box of Letters Cervantes Institute, a vault where great figures of culture have deposited objects related to their career and contribution to the world of science, arts and letters, already has a wide selection of objects and memorabilia significant of Weekly Report, format RTVE who has turned 50 years old.

At an event held at the Cervantes Institute, its director, Luis Garcia Montero, has highlighted that it is "an honor to unite the history of this program on our public television to a Box of Letters that wants to record that the wealth of a country is its human culture and the best way to commit to the future is to receive the best inheritance from the past." Below, different personalities linked to the history of Weekly Report They have left their particular legacy in history.

In this way, the interim president of RTVE and former reporter for Weekly Report, Elena Sánchez Castellano, has deposited in the box the original recording of Queen Letizia's congratulatory message to the program for its 50 years; Pablo Ramirez, director and deputy director, has deposited a special illustrated copy of the script of the aforementioned special program from last April, and Carmen Sarmiento, the team's first journalist, has deposited a phrase that she has always championed ("I will continue fighting so that women stop being the south of men, the south of the world, the south of all possible norths") and a personal object that represents all the international trips she has made: the anklet worn by women who live in the Ethiopian desert and who suffer genital mutilation.

Other personalities who have been responsible for depositing the legacy of Weekly Report son Raul Alda, director of the space between 1985 and 1995, who has chosen a photograph of a trip to Panama in the moments before the US invasion; Baltasar Magro, director of the space and editor in various stages, who has preserved the photo of the team when the program turned 30 years old; Carmen García Vela, one of the most remembered faces, who has left a DVD with the reports Colombia under the volcano (1985), Hotel Kigali (1995) and a program from the same year in which he had to recount the assassination of Isaac Rabin live; Rosa Maria Calaf, reporter, who has chosen the official t-shirt of the 1988 Reagan-Gorbachev summit in Moscow, or Ana Blanco, current presenter, who has symbolically opted for a microphone and a flask as a symbol of teamwork.

Following this, a round table organized by the Cervantes Institute under the title Weekly Report, 50 years of journalistic reference coordinated by Ana Blanco and attended by Carmen García Vela, Baltasar Magro, Raúl Alda and Rosa María Calaf.
