Filming begins on 'No Instructions', a Spanish adaptation of the worldwide hit 'No Returns Accepted'
Marina Seresesky ('The Open Door') directs 'Without Instructions', a comedy by La Pepa Films and Basque Film already in filming based on 'No Returns Accepted', "the most successful Spanish-language film in history".
No instructions Presents Leo (Paco León), a single and womanizing guy who lives from day to day in a very small beach town on a Canary Island. His pleasant existence is turned upside down when one of his old adventures, Julia (Silvia Alonso), arrives from Bilbao, leaving behind a baby of a few months claiming to be his daughter, and disappears, abandoning them both. Unable to care for the baby and determined to return her to her mother, Leo travels to Bilbao, but his efforts to find Julia end in failure. Eight years later, the girl, Alba (Maia Zaitegi), grows up with her father leading a fun life full of affection and love, when Julia reappears in their lives with the intention of snatching custody of their daughter from Leo.
Warner Bros Pictures presents this production of La Pepa Films, Basque Films and Too Many Enemies AIE, with the support of ICAA and the participation of Atresmedia and Netflix. The shooting will last until the beginning of the next March in several locations in the Basque Country and the Canary Islands: Doña Casilda Park (Bilbao), Portugalete Suspension Bridge (Vizcaya), Las Arenas (Vizcaya), Portugalete (Vizcaya), Guggenheim Museum (Bilbao), MercaBilbao (Bilbao), Olabeaga (Bilbao), Casco Viejo (Bilbao), Getxo Maritime Station (Vizcaya), Acantilado del Farillón (Gran Canaria), Maspalomas (Gran Canaria) and Las Burras Beach (Gran Canaria).
The tape adapts No returns accepted, a Mexican film co-written and directed by Eugenio Derbez listed as the highest-grossing Mexican film in history that, in addition, had a notable premiere in the U.S. grossing close to 40 million dollars.
