Filming begins on 'Burundanga', film adaptation of the popular theatrical hit
José Corbacho directs the film adaptation of 'Burundanga', a production by Absolute Minority, Kowalski Films y Feelgood Media whose filming has begun in various locations in Barcelona and Maresme.
Directed by Jose Corbacho (Tapas, Cowards, Incidents), based on an original idea by Jordi Galceran, Burundanga ofrecerá una comedia romántica repleta de giros de guion que se suceden a un “ritmo endemoniado”. Para adaptar el texto teatral al lenguaje cinematográfico, el directo se ha propuesto mantener las bases más clásicas de la comedia, si bien respetando en el proceso “el ritmo y los excepcionales diálogos del original teatral”.
El largometraje, protagonizado por Adriana Torrebejano, Carol Rovira, Marcel Borràs, Francesc Ferrer, Jordi Sánchez, Sílvia Abril y Santi Millán, entre otros, es una producción de Minoria Absoluta, Kowalski Films, Feelgood Media y Simulacre AIE, with the participation of 3Cat y Prime Video, y el apoyo del ICEC and the ICAA. La distribución en cines en España está cargo de Buena Vista Internacional, while international sales will correspond to Film Factory.
This is the synopsis of the film, whose filming has already begun: "Berta discovers that she is pregnant and does not know what to do, because she doubts the love of her partner, Manel. Advised by her friend Sílvia, she decides to administer burundanga, the "drug of truth". When it takes effect, Manel confirms that he is in love with her, but he also confesses something much more unexpected: he is part of an ETA commando. "
