RTVE celebrates its 3rd day of international content distribution with prominent Spanish producers
The international sales team of RTVE together with the TVE Film and Fiction management, has organized the third Conference dedicated to the International Distribution of RTVE Content in the Prado del Rey auditorium, bringing together the main content producers in Spain.
Rodolfo Dominguez, commercial director of RTVE, opened the day and presented his international team, explaining the work carried out by the unit for the dissemination of Spanish culture and reality, as well as the support they offer to the Spanish audiovisual industry outside our country with their international distribution activities of content, formats, channels and digital platform. Next, Maria Jesus Perez, international commercial director of RTVE, has shared a report on the current trends in the content distribution market, as well as the most in-demand genres and new lines of action for this year. Rosalía Alcubilla, sales executive responsible for Large Accounts at RTVE, has reviewed the commercial visits and markets attended by RTVE executives to present the Corporation's contents. The different marketing activities carried out by the international commercial management have been presented by Jesus Molina Crawler, head of commercial marketing at RTVE, highlighting the importance of showcase of RTVE, which this year is celebrating its fifth edition with great success among professionals in the sector.
The day continued with the intervention of Rafael Herrera, business director of the OTT Barometer and Social Intelligence area of GECA, who has shown the “Social Intelligence – SI” tool, specialized in investigating the preferences of the current audience and the most in-demand audiovisual products in 57 countries. The tool, which offers an analysis of the most in-demand content, channels and platforms, and the public's commercial interests and their active interaction with advertising brands, has included a practical analysis of two case studies of RTVE programs: The Grand Prix y The Promise. Next, Glory Hall, director of production and content consulting at GECA, has presented an innovative study that monitors 70 countries with the tool Teleformat recording everything that happens in this global audiovisual world, fiction is also global, and productions with local content travel around the world through unexpected windows and in distant territories.
Finally, a table has been developed in which the international success story of the adaptation of the format of The Hunt. Monteperdido in France, broadcast by TF1, with an interesting debate. This panel has been moderated by RTVE's film and action director, Joseph Pastor and the French producers have intervened Bertrand Cohen and Muriel Alorend of Terence Films; Denis Leroy, director of fiction formats at French citizens, y Pablo Alejos, general director of DLO productions. In France, the Spanish version of The Hunt on the Polar+ channel with the French adapted version on TF1. The first episode of this adaptation of the Spanish series managed to be the audience leader in France.
