DAZN Spain - María Fernández - advisor

DAZN Spain has hired María Fernández, an economist specialized in economic regulation, evaluation of public policies, market supervision and defense of competition, as strategic advisor.

Maria Fernandez She has been vice president of the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) and president of its Regulatory Supervision Chamber between 2013 and 2020. Previously, she was director of the Technical Secretariat of the Delegate Commission for Economic Affairs of the Economic Office of the President of the Government, deputy director general of Competition and Economic Regulation at the Ministry of Economy and Finance and head of service in the General Subdirectorate of Studies of the Competition Court. In addition, Fernández belongs to the Superior Corps of Civil Administrators of the State since 2006 and to the Corps of Commercial Graduates of the State since 2003.

As strategic advisor from DAZN, Fernández will provide the streaming and video on demand service strategic and regulatory consulting services on matters related to the audiovisual sector. As clarified Bosco Aranguren, general director of DAZN Spain: “We are in a very competitive and regulated market and María's experience in regulation and defense of competition is key to growing our business in Spain.”
