TAG and Zixi create a solution to monitor live signals over IP networks
The public internet and unmanaged networks can be used to transport professional video signals with proactive monitoring thanks to the latest development of TAG y Zixi.
The joint solution of TAG y Zixi leverages the telemetry control plane and live video orchestration Zen Master the Zixi, with which users can use a single user interface, to enter fonts in the TAG MV designs and send those tiles to the desired targets, allowing for a unified control and simplifies operations. This development also allows you to configure extensive alert functions for individual channels or groups of channels, and combine them with event notification, which seeks to ensure that video broadcast quality is maintained throughout the workflow.
The new tool is held in the tag platform, multi-channel monitoring solution for all layers of live video transmission (from the TS packet header to the content and quality of the encoded video), as well as in the Zixi protocol, which adjusts to varying network conditions and employs patented dynamic error correction techniques for error-free video transport over IP “with greater than 99.999% uptime and minimal latency.” The result for users will be, in the words of TAG and Zixi, a greater agility in the workflow, which will allow television networks to implement systems of monitoring transport flows in minutes, “not of weeks.”
Direct access to the Zixi stream will make it possible for TAG to be able to measure underlying deficiencies and offer users a proactive approach to addressing transportation problems. Input stream support allows the TAG system to directly receive, monitor, and display Zixi streams, while outbound stream support allows TAG tile outputs to also take advantage of the Zixi protocol when feeding remote operator displays.
John Wastcoat, SVP BD and marketing Zixi, points out that this integration provides operators with “huge benefits”: “They gain flexibility and agility in the workflow, monitoring all broadcast formats, from uncompressed HLS to highly compressed HLS, and allowing all sources to be aggregated into one visual monitoring platform for monitoring. he prime minister and remote.”
