Televisa adquiere participación de AT&T para tomar el control total de Sky México

The Mexican group Televisa ha llegado a un acuerdo con AT&T para la adquisición de su participación en el capital social de Sky Mexico, with which the company would become the owner of 100% of the broadcaster's share capital.

As part of the agreement reached, the transaction price, the amount of which is unknown, would be paid by the company in 2027 and 2028. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

The company also reported that Luis Malvido He will leave the position of CEO of Sky México as of April 15, 2024, after more than two years in the position. Francisco Valim will be appointed executive general director of Sky, who will additionally remain in his position as executive general director of the Cable segment of Grupo Televisa.
