The Ace M and XL models of Sachtler (To be seen) release the Mk II generation with improvements to offer even smoother and more stable movements.
The new fluid heads Sachtler Ace M Mk II (Ace M GS Mk II and Ace M MS Mk II) allow operators to work quickly and intuitively with Smooth drag adjustments and five steps of fast counterbalancing. Weighing 4.4 kilograms and capable of supporting payloads of 0 to 4 kilograms, these systems include an aluminum tripod with carrying handle and triangle option.
On the other hand, the Ace XL Mk II (Ace XL AL MS Mk II, Ace XL AL GS Mk II, Ace XL CF GS Mk II, Ace XL CF MS Mk II, Ace XL flowtech75 MS Mk II y Ace XL flowtech75 GS Mk II) ofrecen un rendimiento constante para heavier digital cinema cameras. They support payloads from 0 to 8 kilograms with an extra four steps of counterbalancing to quickly balance larger equipment with more accessories. The system also features an illuminated level bubble plus a removable threaded stud so users can easily swap from a tripod to a slider. The head is available on a range of tripod systems, including options with the flowtech75 tripod.
Satchler's Ace XL Mk II is available as a head or system only, while the Ace M Mk II is a systems exclusive. The tripods have three 3/8″ mounting points in the bowl of the tripod for accessory fixation like a magic arm, lights, or the new included Ace carrying handle. Likewise, Ace Mk II heads are also compatible with the legs flowtech75.
Barbara Jaumann, product manager at Sachtler, says the new Ace M Mk II and Ace XL Mk II are among the “lightest tripod systems on the market,” while offering “the key features that have made Sachtler the industry standard for lightweight professional camera mounts – smooth camera movement and maximum stability.”
