Atomos eliminates the boundaries between recording and post-production at NAB 2024
Direct access to Mediasilo from Atomos Cloud Studio, a solution that opens the door to the rapid transfer of content from the set to the editors, is the great novelty that atoms was reserved for NAB 2024.
Editshare y atoms have confirmed a collaboration within the framework of NAB Show 2024 which seeks to accelerate creative processes by reducing the time between capturing and editing. Using this workflow, users can connect their camera to a cloud-enabled Atomos device via HDMI or SDI, pair it through their Atomos Cloud Studio account, and add MediaSilo as a destination. After selecting the destination project and folder for media upload, once the record button is pressed the files will automatically be synchronized with the Mediasilo project or folder. In this way, team members can begin to review the material immediately, as well as create dynamic review links that update automatically as more material is recorded, so external contributors have a single destination for their comments.
Account access MediaSilo is included in the plan Camera to Cloud of Atomos Cloud Studio, including single/dual recording, 4K upload and progressive upload, Atomos' unique progressive file transfer technology that brings content to MediaSilo while recording continues.
Ramu Potarazu, CEO of Editshare, commented: "We are very excited to begin MediaSilo's journey from camera to cloud with Atomos. Our decision is based on the spirit of flexibility of the EditShare brand: we want our customers to work with the creative tools of their choice. MediaSilo's integration with Atomos products like Shogun and Ninja allows people to choose the right camera product for each project." His counterpart at Atomos, Jeromy Young, added: "We have always considered ourselves a neutral 'gateway' to a wide selection of secure destinations for our clients' content. MediaSilo is highly respected in the post-production world for accelerating collaboration, and its addition to our online platform offers our DNx-oriented clients in particular a route to Camera to Cloud."
