Audio-Technica adds two new professional USB microphones to its portfolio
The AT2020USB-XP cardioid condenser USB microphone and the AT2040USB hypercardioid USB dynamic microphone are two of the main new features that Audio-Technica brings to NAB 2024.
Within its range of 20 series content creation solutions, the AT2020USB-XP offers ideal performance for streamers, podcasters and other content creators.
Based on A-T's latest USB capacitor model, the AT2020USB-X, the AT2020USB-XP includes the same touch sensitive mute switch, integrated headphone jack with volume control and mix control personnel to allow monitoring of the microphone, as well as funcionamiento plug-and-play USB-Type C.
AT2020USB-XP additions and improvements include a 24-bit 192kHz sample rate, three levels of noise reduction (via a selector switch with LED indicator), automatic gain control (with LED indicator) and the inclusion of a clip-on pop filter.
The microphone's directional (cardioid) pickup keeps the focus on your voice or other chosen sound source, while its high-resolution A/D converter ensures extremely clear and natural sound reproduction. A dual-state LED indicator ring illuminates blue to indicate the microphone is receiving USB power and illuminates red when audio is muted on the microphone. The LED indicator also flashes when the maximum audio level is reached.
The microphone is supplied with a personalized desktop stand and a pop filter with clip, an adapter with a 3/8″-16 to 5/8″-27 thread and a 3.1 meter USB-C to USB-A cable with a USB-A to USB-C adapter. The AT8455 anti-vibration mount, to effectively absorb vibration noise, is sold separately.
Micro hypercardioid AT2040USB
In Las Vegas, Audio-Technica also exhibits the USB dynamic microphone hipercardioide AT2040USB, a recent addition to A-T's comprehensive range of 20 Series content creation products. AND
The AT2040USB microphone combines the broadcast-quality performance of the AT2040 dynamic microphone with plug-and-play USB Type-C functionality, making it easy for podcasters, streamers and other content creators to achieve professional results. The microphone connects directly to the user's computer for immediate use, without the need for an audio interface or additional wiring.
The microphone has a high resolution A/D converter with a sampling rate up to 24bit/96kHz for extremely clear and natural sound, and its highly directional hypercardioid pickup pattern isolates the user's voice from surrounding noise, ensuring attention is focused on spoken content. Gamers who stream and chat with their followers will appreciate the isolation from common ambient noise, such as the hum of a computer fan.
He robust metal body The microphone features an integrated shock mount to dampen unwanted noise and vibration, while its internal pop filter (a multi-stage foam mesh windscreen) protects against harsh spoken sounds. Furthermore, his low cut filter eliminates low frequency sounds to further reduce vibrations and ambient noise.
The AT2040USB is also equipped with a headphone jack which allows real-time audio monitoring (with zero latency), as well as a soft-touch mute button to mute the microphone quickly and reliably. A mix control dial adjusts the balance between microphone audio and a computer sound source. A dual-state LED indicator ring illuminates blue when the microphone is on and ready to capture audio, and red when it is muted.
The AT2040USB includes a USB cable (USB Type C to USB Type A) and a USB adapter (USB Type A to USB Type C) for plug-and-play functionality. The AT8458a Shock Mount (sold separately) can also be used with the microphone to further reduce noise, shock or vibration that may be transmitted through a microphone stand, arm or stand.
