Lafayette streamlines the production and broadcast of its sporting events with Simplylive (Riedel)

Simplylive production suite Riedel has allowed the university Lafayette College broadcast live and with high quality all your sporting events, such as basketball or American football games.

Founded in 1997, Lafayette Sports Network (LSN-TV) has been recognized as one of the best college or university owned networks nationwide, with a national audience of more than 90 million viewers through its associated networks. As host of 23 Division I sports, LSN-TV annually offers more than 35 live television broadcasts y 80 additional live streaming productions.

Faced with the rise of live streaming, LSN-TV was forced to expand your production capacities to meet the growing demands of its audience. After exploring the market, the educational institution decided to go for the live video production suite Simplylive of Riedel.

The system has simplified production and staff training, allowing students to learn how to produce professional quality productions. With a core team of at least six positions, including camera operators, replay operators and graphics operators, the university has been able to produce encounters with high quality and a “minimum training”.

Lafayette College's Simplylive production system is completed with a sistema SLPS All-In-One adicional which runs on a portable V Mini server. This deployment has allowed the university to install its live broadcast equipment in various locations to cover a wide range of sports. In this way, while previously LSN-TV could only produce and distribute one game at a time through the central control room, the university is now able to broadcast events simultaneously to provide coverage for all of its sports teams.
