Hunting and Fishing: subtitling and transcription of content with AI provided by TSA

Telefónica Audiovisual Services (TSA) has integrated a service based on AI (Artificial Intelligence) into the Movistar Plus+ Hunting and Fishing channel that makes possible the automatic transcription of dialogues and the generation of subtitles.

Hunting and Fishing required a system of transcripts y subtitles that would include timestamps accurate and the generation of compatible formats such as standardized .srt, which would allow its integration into linear emissions and in on-demand content. TSA has responded to these needs with a service thanks to which subtitle files have already been shaped for 32 contents of the channel of a duration of between 25 and 30 minutes in three languages: Spanish, English and French.

This is only the first phase of the project, since the generation of transcriptions and subtitles has recently been requested for others 14 hunting contents in Spanish and two contents of the program Inform Plus+ in English. This assignment not only covers the subtitle creation, but also the encoding of the videos to include subtitles permanently if necessary.

The TSA solution has been provided via TSA HUB, a content management and audiovisual services platform that TSA offers to its clients and is capable of integrating live signals and content in VOD format. All subtitling and transcription services offered to Caza y Pesca have been managed through Etiqmedia, TSA's technological partner specialized in AI.
