Altair demonstrates its IP communication proposal without dedicated matrix at IBC 2024
Altair is showing at IBC 2024 its new IPB-302 beltpack that expands its IPcom series of matrix intercom via IP. It is the most affordable communication device in the series, which has 2 communication channels compared to the 6 of its “big sister”, the IPB-306.
Both bodypack models share almost the same functions (except the number of channels) with built-in speaker and panel microphone (as well as connection to a headset) and supporting participation in partyline groups, one-to-many, private calls, emission and reception of light warnings, GPIOs remote control and more.
Both models are cocompatible with B-IPB accessory which allows them to be fixed to a surface for use as a desktop station (in mobile units, for example)
This new flask aims democratize the use of IP systems, allowing the creation of partyline systems in a very economical way and being a perfect complement to larger IPcom networks.
Being more affordable, this new model can be used as such but also used for other functions such as remote listening post, dressing room announcements, cue-light receiver...
The Altair IPcom system is a IP communication without dedicated matrix (works with a switch) capable of managing up to 128 devices via IP, with point-to-point communications, groups, etc. This system is managed and configured from the Altair Nebula software, 100% free.
AIRP4CK
Still in development, Altair has unveiled the new AIRP4CK wireless beltpack (IPBW-304) that will expand the IPcom ecosystem along with the antenna base IPD-308. The beltpack offers full duplex 1.9 GHz frequency operation with four communication channels. Its audio quality at 100Hz-7 kHz guarantees clean communication at distances of up to 350 meters. As for the antenna base, it will allow you to connect up to 40 beltpacks working with a maximum of 8 channels.
