Sapec demonstrates its readiness for the SMPTE 2110 universe at NAB 2024
The arrival of SMPTE 2110 to Laguna marks a new stage for Sapec, which at the same time guarantees the most demanding SDI environments, takes steps towards convergence with broadcasters that have made the leap to IP contexts.
The team of Sapec has flown to NAB 2024 with a selection of its products and interesting demonstrations that seek to demonstrate the commitment of the Spanish firm to continue evolving its solutions to adapt to the new contexts of the broadcasting field. The arrival of the interface especially stands out SMPTE 2110 a la plataforma multicanal UHD/HD/SD Laguna, a move that opens the system's door to 100% and hybrid environments, as well as new compatibility with RIST, which focuses on the transport of content through public networks with support for multicast, maximum security encryption systems or packet correction that can reach 45% of the content.
The company's booth at NAB 2024 also includes the display of products such as Sivac-One, which debuts a new 12G interface, both electrical and optical; the H.264/MPEG-2 encoder family with integrated modulator Steps II, which supports up to two channels of SD/HD video, or the pennant system with cameras The CornerCam, original technological development that was carried out by the Sapec team.
Apart from the exhibition and testing through the Laguna, Sivac-One and Gredos II systems, visitors to the Sapec stand at NAB 2024 can discover the solutions of Video-MOS y Acromove, two of the partners from the Spanish manufacturer. Especially interesting is the Acromove demo: a private 5G network intended to transport a 4K signal encoded with a Sivac-One and decoded from a Laguna.
