Sapec - NAB SHOW 2024 - Productos

One more year, Sapec will be part of NAB 2024 (April 13 to 17, Las Vegas) to demonstrate how its coding and decoding solutions are prepared to face present and future challenges of the sector with its own name: UHD, IP, SMPTE 2110 or transport over public networks with RIST.

La plataforma multicanal UHD/HD/SD Laguna, compatible with HEVC, H.264 and MPEG-2 standards, previews its future at NAB 2024 and consolidates its position as an ecosystem prepared to adapt to new industry standards. As a great novelty, this highly versatile and low latency solution for signal contribution and distribution receives the highly demanded interface SMPTE 2110, which makes the platform compatible with the set of standards defined by SMPTE itself for sending and receiving IP assets. In this way, Sapec opens the door to new 100% IP and hybrid environments.

Laguna will also debut its compatibility with RIST, protocol powered by Video Service Forum for transporting content over public networks. RIST offers advantages such as support for Multicast, maximum security encryption systems such as PSK (Pre-Shared Key) or DTLS (Datagram Transport Layer Security); bonding capabilities; correction of packets in case of loss that can reach 45% of the content, and its own nature as an open and standardized protocol without a proprietary company behind it.

Aside from these important developments, Sapec will demonstrate the versatility of Laguna through a demo in time event in which attendees will be able to discover some of its latest improvements: the UHD license for the Quad (LMP4000) and Octal (LMP8000) models; the display of thumbnails for all models; the possibility of performing analysis and monitoring functions through the ETR-290 specification, or the ability to use the Lagunas as gateways: if the system receives an SRT signal, for example, it will be possible to forward the same signal simultaneously to the decoding of an SMPTE 2022 network and vice versa.

Sapec - Sivac-OneInterface 12G pair Sivac-One, Gredos II...

The modular platform Sivac-One, put to the test in highly demanding environments such as the Ultra High Definition broadcast of the last Football World Cup in Qatar through RTVE, it will travel to NAB 2024 with a new 12G interface both electrical and optical, which enables its integration into highly demanding UHD environments and postulates it as “the preferred option for signal management of the next major global sporting event that will take place in the summer of 2024.”

SAPEC NAB 2023 - Grades IISapec It will also demonstrate through demos the benefits of systems such as the H.264/MPEG-2 encoder family with integrated modulator Steps II, which supports up to two video channels (SD/HD) and audio channels simultaneously with MPEG-1/AAC/Dolby AC3 and EAC3 compression and, optionally, HEVC, both 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 profiles. On the other hand, the company will show for the first time at NAB its flag system with cameras, a The CornerCam whose technological development has been carried out by Sapec itself. This system seeks to replace the classic soccer corner flags with a system that includes two cameras (one lower and one upper) with horizontal remote control and HD 1080i capabilities. The cameras, connected to the mobile units via fiber optics, are remotely controllable by a joystick system and a preselection and multi-screen system.

Demos with Video-MOS and Acromove

Beyond offering real-time demonstrations of the capabilities of Laguna, Sivac-One, and Gredos II, Sapec will test the solutions of two of its partners: Video-MOS y Acromove.

Video-Mos is a developer dedicated to creating solutions and quality control services for audiovisual content using the MOS parameter and with the help of AI. The company specializes in adapting its systems according to the requirements of each client, so that it is capable of designating multiple parameters for all types of live and archived content.

For its part, Acromove presents itself as a firm specialized in offering private 5G network solutions for transporting broadcast signals with high bandwidth and low latency, additionally offering processing and storage capacity with connectivity to the cloud. To demonstrate the efficiency of this system, Sapec's stand at NAB 2024 will have a private 5G network that will be responsible for transporting a 4K signal encoded with Sivac-One equipment that will later be decoded in a Laguna.
