intoPIXIntopix announced at IBC the pre-release of the latest version of its IP cores and JPEG XS SDK, which now support Master and Proxy encoding/decoding.

Los enhanced TicoXS IP cores and the FastTicoXS SDK offer high-performance compression with an added proxy workflow capability, providing users with a flexible and efficient method of working with low-resolution, low-bitrate JPEG XS proxies along with full resolution master streams.

Designed to simplify complex multimedia workflows in studio, live production and post-production environments, new JPEG XS technology enables Master and Proxy workflows synchronized in real time and low latency across a wide range of devices and applications.

This capability offers an optimized solution for multimedia workflows that require flexibility without compromising video quality or latency. By delivering the same content in two resolutions, teams can easily switch between the high-resolution Master stream and the lightweight Proxy stream, optimizing resources for a wide variety of tasks.

Among the main advantages of the Intopix Master and Proxy workflows, the fact of being able to have a High resolution Master stream and lower resolution Proxy stream to optimize workflows, allowing for more efficient use of bandwidth and storage. Intopix JPEG XS also offers real-time encoding for Master and Proxy streams with a Minimal latency, ideal for live production and collaborative editing.

Additionally, it supports workflows for live switching, video routing, post-production editing and review, with the unique efficiency and quality of JPEG XS,l while allowing users to manage resources more efficiently without compromising speed or quality.

The new versions are compatible with Intopix's extensive ecosystem of IP cores and software codecs, ensuring seamless integration into various hardware, applications and platforms, making it adaptable to a wide range of professional video environments.
