Altair divides its activity into two independent commercial brands
The Spanish manufacturer European Electronic Equipment (Altair), based in Tres Cantos (Madrid) will divide its activity into two independent commercial brands, with distribution networks and individualized pricing policies: Altair Intercom and Altair Proaudio.
Founded in 1986, the manufacturer has its origins in professional audio, a field in which the brand is still very active both in the Spanish market and internationally. As time went by, Altair redirected its business model towards the communications market for the entertainment and broadcast industry (which today represents the most significant part of its business), maintaining a branch of Proaudio in which there are products such as its popular press racks or the “MAP” DSP matrices for fixed installation.
According to the Altair commercial team, after “a long period” in which the company has been internally discussing its medium and long-term strategy, the decision has been made to “create the two new brands, in order to correctly develop the appropriate distribution and sales channels for each type of product.”
With this, it also seeks to give greater importance to Altair's audio products, in order to achieve a higher market rate for them and with the ultimate objective of relaunching this activity in which Altair has been very powerful in the past. Currently, it already has several developments and ideas underway for both brands.
